I'm a small town girl at heart, and after 18 years of city life, I am lucky enough to move back to my hometown of Panguitch, Utah. I have worked as a waitress, a cadastral mapper, a youth rehabilitation supervisor, a reading specialist, a self-contained special education teacher, a land agent, and as a mother of two great kids. I also dedicate my time to volunteer work for youth.
After a couple years of shooting portraits and families, I decided to take a few college photography classes to see if I would learn anything new. I discovered that I was just waking up to the possibilities of what I could use my camera for. I absolutely love photography and grapic design.
Currently my muses have come through the study of art history and the history of photography. I study the artists I love, and those that I don't. After learning about their different styles and the "why" behind their pictures, I have found that my own photography is growing and becoming more refined.
I shoot with a little bit of patience and lots of optimism, but what I get in return is the chance to make my vision something others can catch a glimpse of.
